Enchanted Mountains GeoTrail is ending

The Enchanted Mountains GeoTrail (EMGT) is ending after four great years!

To allow those who may have already started the trail but have not yet completed it, we will accept submissions for your wooden nickels and the EMGT coin until October 31, 2013.

Since several of the caches have been archived due to maintenance issues, etc., to obtain your coin, you will only need to submit keywords for the currently active caches. At the time of writing, there are 26 active EMGT caches. Active caches will include the caches listed as active on geocaching.com at time of submittal.

List of the 6 Archived Caches

  • Coldspring (2009)
  • East Otto (2009)
  • Portville (2009)
  • Carrollton (2010)
  • Great Valley (2010)
  • Red House (2010)

What to do

  1. Download the EMGT leaflet with the archived caches
  2. Set a plan to get those remaining caches
  3. Geocache like crazy!
  4. Submit your EMGT finds

We would like to thank all the cachers who volunteered to place and maintain the caches for us and we hope all the cachers enjoyed see our GREAT county.

Please be sure to check out our newer geotrail, the NY Amish Geo Trail (NYAGT)!

Thank you again, and “Happy Hunting!”
