Thankfully, the Enchanted Mountains transition into winter can be breathtakingly beautiful, making it much easier to swallow. See what I mean?! Harvest Heritage Fall Festival - Gowanda September 29 + 30 This quaint, family-friendly festival kicks off the run of fall festivals in the charming village of Gowanda. This festival features a scarecrow contest, pumpkin painting + sidewalk chalk art for kids, fall wreath making, concert, demonstrations, softball game, drawings, mums for sale, and more! More information here! Falling Leaves Festival - Salamanca September 29 - October 1 Experience Seneca Culture and Heritage and enjoy the beautiful fall foliage. Started in 1979 as a way to promote the culture of the Seneca Nation of Indians and the relationship between the nation and the City of Salamanca, this celebration will have a cultural aspect with demonstrations of Seneca arts. Rock City Park Gem, Mineral + Fossil Show - Olean October 7-9 Rock enthusiasts will have the chance to view, purchase and learn about rare and common rocks from around the world. Items for sale may include rocks, minerals, fossils, shells, jewelry, cut and uncut stones, mining paraphernalia and tools, crafts/artwork, books, and magazines all related to our natural earth!
